Tommy Middaugh and Travel To Go Reviews How To Play Blackjack

Travel To Go Reviews ways to make the most of your gambling vacation.  Gambling is serious business and increasing your odds of winning is vital.  Travel To Go Reviews is here to show you the ins and outs of Blackjack.

Often times referred to as 21, Blackjack is one of the most popular gambling games people enjoy on their casino vacations.   Travel To Go Scam Watch is here to assist you with learning the basics to help you decrease your chance of falling victim to a travel scam and this Travel To Go Review should help you increase your odds of winning at the blackjack tables.

The ultimate goal of Blackjack is to have a hand value closer to 21 than that of the dealer without busting (going over 21) as you are only playing against the dealer and not the other players at the table with this particular game.

The number of decks of cards being used effects the rules of play. If you are playing a game with 6 or 8 decks of cards being used, then all the cards are dealt face up except for the dealer’s first card which is dealt face down.  If you are playing Blackjack with fewer decks then the cards are usually dealt face down.

In computing your card value, the suits of the cards have no meaning.  Cards 2 though 9 have the same value as the card; the10 card, Jack, Queen and King have a value of 10; and you get to choose whether the Ace has a value of 1 or 11.

Dealing begins with the dealer passing the cards clockwise beginning at his left.  The dealer makes 2 passes, dealing himself a card face down on the first pass and on the second pass his card is face up. As noted above when using 6 or 8 decks cards are dealt face up, with that one exception of the dealer’s first card.  When cards are dealt face down, proper etiquette provides that players do not touch the cards.  Also any subsequent cards will be dealt face up, and those too will not be touched by anyone.  As with dealing, play always begins on the dealer’s left.

One of the best things about Blackjack is that you are only playing against the dealer and certain rules apply.   A dealer must stop at 17 which can be great for you.  For instance if you have a 19 and he has an 18 he  cannot take another hit as he has already reached 17 or higher.  If the dealer busts (goes over 21) then all  players not over 21 win.   When you and the dealer have the same total it is called a “push.” In a push the dealer will leave your bet on the table, you do not win or lose.

The most desired hand is the blackjack, or natural. A blackjack is a hand where the original two cards you are dealt are an Ace and a card with a 10-value, this can be either a 10, Jack, Queen or King. The blackjack usually pays the player odds of 3 to 2. Therefore, if you bet $10 and are dealt a King and an Ace the dealer will pay you $15. A player’s blackjack beats any dealer total other than a dealer’s blackjack. If the dealer also has a blackjack the outcome is a tie or “push” and the player keeps their money. Usually the dealer will pay your winning blackjack bet immediately when it is your turn to play. If you are playing a face down game you should show your blackjack to the dealer when it is your turn.

Travel To Go Reviews ways to make the most of your gambling vacation.  When at a casino vacation destination gambling is serious business and here are 10 serious and costly mistakes to avoid.

Let’s face it – the casino house has an edge on all their games.  With this in mind, Travel To Go is here to help you increase you odds of winning while on a casino vacation by showing you some gambling mistakes you should avoid.  Travel To Go gambling vacation destinations, but is also interested in helping you avoid costly gambling mistakes and travel scams.

1. Drinking and Gambling

As with drinking and driving, drinking and gambling is a big no-no.  Drinking alcohol lowers inhibitions which can cause you to make some bad decisions changing your odds of winning at a casino.

2. Gambling too Long

Gambling is a numbers game and the longer you play the more the odds that favor the house come into play.  Marathon gambling sessions are a sure way to lose money.

3. Lacking Familiarity with the Games you Play

If you want to increase your odds of winning while on your casino vacation, be sure you know how to play the games you are gambling on.  Watch how others play and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask the dealer to explain.

4. Not signing up for a Players Card

Every casino and gambling destination has a Players Card which is the only way a casino can track your play so you can earn comps.  When you fail to sign up for the Players Card and use it, basically you are giving away free money.

5. Not Planning your Outing

Always set a budget before heading out to the casino to gamble and stick to it. Far too many players simply go to the casino with a fist full of money and jump from table to table and machine to machine with no clue of just how much money they are going through.

6. Playing With Borrowed Money

The number one rule of gambling is never to bet more than you can afford to lose. You should also never gamble with borrowed money or by taking a cash advance on your credit card at the casino. Leave the credit cards in your room.

Travel To Go Presents Tips For Playing Slots: 10 Ways To Win

1. Break you gambling time up into small chunks, or sessions with either a time limit, a spending limit or both.

2. Talk to casino employees and fellow slot machine players to see what machines seem to have been paying out on a fairly regular basis.

3. Focus not only on locating slot machines with very high top jackpots, but also make to pay attention to mid level payouts as well.

4. Experiment with different playing strategies.

5. Seek out the highest paying machines within the casino.  Most slot machines pay out between 83% and 98% of the coins they take in but with a little bit of research, you can find the ones paying between 96% and 99% and hit them hardest.

6. Always insert maximum coins whenever possible for best pay-outs.

7. Look and be patient.  If you can manage to wait and watch you will quickly learn which slot machines have more frequent, and larger, pay-outs.

8. Do NOT pick slot machines randomly. This is a sure-fire way to exhaust your bankroll in short order. The casinos will LOVE you, but your wallet will NOT!

9. Play within your comfort zone.

10. Stay away from the giant, progressive slot machines — those that are linked to other progressive machines in other casinos such as “Quartermania.” The odds are incredibly low that you will hit a jackpot on these types of machines.

Travel To Go Guide for Casino Vacations

Travel To Go reviews a variety of wonderful vacation destinations.  Travel To Go destinations include fantastic family vacations, romantic getaways.  Travel To Go reviews winter destinations spring vacation destinations summer and autumn travel locations and holiday resorts.  Jeanette Bunn and Tommy Middaugh are committed to providing the very best in vacation packages including the amazing Travel To Go Hot Weeks, Travel To Go Special Weeks, discounted cruises, packages including multiple locations and much more.  At Travel To Go scams are of great concern and we also review and present informative articles on common vacation scams, travel scams and the like.  Travel To Go – where dreams do come true.
1. Be skilled at the game you are playing

It has been proven time and again that the player with the most knowledge has the best luck with winning while on a gambling vacation.  Research the games you will be playing at your casino destination ahead of time, never jump into a game unless you have observed it being played and have learned how to play it, remember to ask the dealer to explain anything you do not understand.

2. Do not be reckless with your money

Before you leave your luxury accommodation and head out to the casino decide how much money you are going to budget for the evening and stick to it.

3. Maintain a low profile

As there is a lot of money floating around at casinos and other gambling vacation destinations, there can be a certain unsavory element around.  When winning be sure to keep a low profile and avoid telling anyone how you are doing, do not wave around a big wad of cash, and if you do have substantial winnings lock them up with the casino cashier until you are ready to depart.

4. Never drink while gambling

Alcohol impairs your judgment making you more prone to becoming reckless while enjoying your casino vacation. As tempting as they may seem, the free drinks offered by casinos and other gambling destinations are the casinos’ chief weapon against you.

5. Over confidence is your enemy

Over confidence kills.  If you are winning bit, do not become reckless, throwing caution to the wind and beginning to take high risks.  Remember to gamble with your head and do not become a slave to your emotions and the excitement of the moment.

Tommy Middaugh Presents How to Pack for a Cruise

When packing for a cruise, the biggest mistake most people make is packing too much.  Many of us already have learned this lesson packing for prior vacations.   Does the image of sitting perched atop an overstuffed suitcase while trying to get it zipped up look familiar?

Packing your cruise wardrobe requires personal preferences carefully blended with knowledge of your cruise line requirements and recommendations.  To make things a little bit easier, we have a few suggestions noted below:

Dress up or comfortable casual?

While many people enjoy dressing up for a cruise’s evening festivities, others simply dread the idea.  However, dress codes have loosened up considerably over the past few years and you do not have to look like you just step out of the latest issue of Gentleman’s Quarterly or Vogue to enjoy a cruise these days.

Several cruise lines these days are promoting comfortable casual wear, while several luxury cruise lines enforce strict dress standards.  For example Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 Trans-Atlantic crossings requires formal wear for 3 of the 6 evenings spent at sea.

On many cruise ships these days you will see a mix of styles with everything from ball gowns, tuxedos and diamonds to short pants, t-shirts and spandex.  With such an assortment of options, deciding what to pack can be a bit confusing.  However, most cruise lines will send you information prior to your trip detailing their dress policy.  More importantly, remember that whatever you choose to bring, do not overdo it as cruise cabins tend to be very small – so pack smart!

Casual wear

Remember to consider the type of cruise you are taking when determining what to pack.  If you are going on an outdoor adventure cruise you will probably want to bring some rugged clothing to include hiking shoes for shore excursions.  If you are taking an Alaskan cruise, you will want to pack differently than for a warm weather cruise.

If taking a cruise somewhere like Alaska you will want to be sure to dress in layers as the weather can shift from cold to hot rather quickly.  If taking a Caribbean cruise you will want to bring quality swimwear as you will likely be spending a lot of time in and around the pool.  For men, a pair of shorts and t-shirt will come in handy as most cruise lines require more than a swimsuit in the dining rooms.   For women, cover-ups, sarongs and sundresses are useful.

For events, dress shorts and a short sleeve or polo shirt are great and for the ladies a skirt works well.  Most of the rest of the time you can plan on wearing whatever makes you feel the most comfortable.  Remember to pack some loose clothing as often times people report putting on a pound or two on a cruise!

Accessories include comfortable flat shoes, flip flops or sandals, sunglasses and some sort of hat offering protection from the sun.

Evening wear

Most cruises offer one or two formal evenings a week and men are expected to wear a dark suit and tie or even a tuxedo. Woman will be expected to wear an evening dress or a dressy pantsuit.

Be sure to remember to pack a formal jacket, dressy sweater or nice wrap for those colder tours.  It is advisable to do the same even for warm weather tours as many of the cruises, particularly on newer ships, have powerful air conditioning requiring some sort of outer garment in the evenings.

How to pack

Here are a few very basic tips to assist you with knowing how to pack for a cruise.

• Use your carry-on luggage to pack your tickets, documents, camera, computer, medication and any other important items.
• Also bring a change of clothing and a swimsuit in your carry-on luggage as sometimes it takes a few hours to get your checked luggage delivered to your stateroom and you do not want to miss out on anything while awaiting those bags.
• Wear your heaviest and bulkiest clothing so save room in your luggage for other items and to cut down on the burden you must carry.
• Pack heavy items such as shoes in the bottom of your suitcase and on top of those items pack your trousers with the legs hanging outside of the suitcase.  Then pack your other items into the bag and finish by carefully folding your pants legs over everything to avoid unnecessary wrinkles and creases in your trousers.
• Turn your outer garments inside out and put them in dry cleaning bags to minimize wrinkles.
• Bring an empty soft sided bag for souvenirs you might purchase on your trip.
• Be sure to find out if your cruise line has a weight limit.  Even if they do not, remember you have to haul your bags to and from your house to the cruise ship.
• Mark you luggage with a bright strap or colored yarn to make it easier to find and less likely to be taken by mistake by someone else.
• If you are traveling with a companion, be sure to mix your items in your checked luggage, that way if there are any delays or your baggage gets lost both of you will have something to wear.

Packing for a cruise can be a bit of a task, but if you pay attention to the suggestions listed above, you can pack some of your cares away

Bon voyage and be sure to enjoy yourself!

Travel To Go and Tommy Middaugh Present Tips for Traveling Light

Don’t you hate lugging behind all that heavy luggage when traveling?  Most people pack entirely too much when traveling.  People vow to never pack that much again, yet year after year they find themselves struggling with heavy burdensome baggage.

If you are interested in learning how to travel light and still have plenty to wear, Travel To Go is pleased to give you a few tips on what to include, what to leave out and how to make your trip easier than ever this year.

1.  Wear your heaviest pair of shoes and if traveling in winter time be sure to wear multiple layers using the heaviest and bulkiest items you are bringing on your trip.

2. Get travel sized toiletries or better yet purchase containers made for travel and fill them with your favorite toilet items to save you money.

3. Take the time to organize things on your bed before packing everything into your suitcases.  This way you can avoid packing too many of one particular item by mistake.

4. Only pack 2 pairs of shoes.  Wear your bulkiest heaviest pair and pack the other.

5. Downsize the quantity of items you pack.  You probably do not need 4 travel books, 6 maps, 2 pairs of binoculars, etc.

6. Eliminate any items that are provided at your destination.   Call ahead and verify what exactly is offered by your accommodation and tour operator.

7. Pack items in plastic bags making sure to remove excess air.  2-gallon zip lock bags are great for this and can greatly reduce the volume of the items you are packing often times allowing you to use carryon luggage for shorter trips and smaller suitcases for longer trips.

8. When selecting clothing items pick colors that easily mix and match so you can pack fewer  items and less accessories.

9. Plan on doing laundry while on vacation.  Most travel destinations offer laundry services.  Pack one pair of pants (or skirt) for every 2 days of travel, one shirt per day, 2 formal or evening wear items and pack about half the undergarments you need.  By planning on doing laundry once per week, you will have less luggage, more room for other items and will not feel inconvenienced in any way.

10. Pack a carryon bag which will allow you to pack your other items in a smaller, lighter suitcase.

Travel To Go Presents: Do you need direct travel insurance?

You are about to being your vacation and are wondering about direct travel insurance but you are not sure if you need it.  Direct travel insurance is coverage for when you are on vacation, or otherwise traveling away from home.  Prices and types of coverage do vary, and often times it is best to contact your home insurance company to see if they offer vacation coverage before seeking out direct travel insurance.

Travel to Go is pleased to provide the following information to assist you with answering commonly asked questions including the type of coverage direct travel insurance includes.

Purchasing Travel Insurance

The exact type of coverage you will need will vary depending on your particular needs and where you plan on traveling.  When purchasing travel insurance always be sure to go through the details of your policy, making sure to note any exclusions that may relate to your trip.   Be sure to do this prior to signing the contract and making your final payment.

Medical Coverage

The type of medical coverage you will need depends on where you plan on traveling. The cost of medical care can vary greatly in different countries. Also if you need to be evacuated from another country the costs can be tremendous, and often times outside the financial ability of many people.

For this reason, medical coverage is probably the most important travel insurance to purchase as the cost will seem like pennies when compared to the fees associated with hospital stays or medical evacuation should either situation arise.

What to look for with Medical Coverage

When you are looking at what options are available with different policies be sure that the coverage includes: hospital stays, emergency (or medical) evacuation, unlimited personal liability, coverage for pre-existing conditions, and coverage for someone to accompany you if traveling alone and requiring medical evacuation.

Other than medical, what are the types of coverage available with travel insurance?

Travel insurance covers a variety of different situations that could arise during your vacation or business trip.  Below are a few specifics regarding different coverage to assist you in finding a plan that is right for you and for your family.

Cancellations: If for some reason you need to cancel a holiday or business trip you have already booked and paid for due to a serious injury or illness of yourself or a relative, with this type of coverage you are likely to be able to cover any financial losses.

Delays: Often times flight delays not only impact your travel time, but also can adversely affect your other flights or reservations.  Travel insurance covering delays will greatly reduce the financial impact and help cover costs associated with delays.

Luggage: In the unlucky event your luggage is damaged, lost or stolen you will be glad you purchased travel insurance covering baggage.   Be sure to check whether you are covered for stolen luggage from a locked car or hotel room, what the limits are for coverage, and if your chosen policy reimburses for lost cash.

Rental Cars/Personal liability: When renting a car the rental car company usually offers coverage but it does not always fully cover your personal liability.  This is particularly important in the case of an injury accident.  If you have travel insurance, this portion of the policy may either supplement the rental car coverage or could cover those expenses associated with personal liability if someone is injured. This cover will often include the legal expenses for accident as well.

In essence, protect yourself when investing in your next trip abroad and ensure both yourself and loved ones you leave behind have peace of mind that if there are mishaps, you are covered. Do your homework prior to purchasing a policy and understand exactly what it is you are covered for.

Nowhere else can you find this many live performances by the most famous singers and comics in show business, as well as lavish productions featuring statuesque showgirls, stunning sets, and incredible special effects.

While Las Vegas offers many forms of entertainment and recreation, the biggest game in town has always been found in the glittering casinos. Every year millions of visitors call on Lady Luck and try their hand at exhilarating games of chance – such as blackjack, baccarat, poker and hundreds of themed slot machine games. And if you’re a sports fan, you can always place a wager on one of your favorite teams.

Long ago, shopping was a diversion. No longer. Vegas has become a global shopping destination. Las Vegas Boulevard South is now one of the world’s great shopping streets with huge outlet malls and exclusive boutiques in exquisite casino resorts, offering shoppers everything from haute couture to traditional souvenirs.

Four Seasons of fun in Las Vegas? You bet! The Las Vegas area is a paradise for all kinds of recreational and sightseeing activities. Dozens of lush and challenging golf courses beckon the avid and novice golfer twelve months a year. For hiking, rock climbing and outdoor photography, there’s magnificent Red Rock Canyon and picturesque Mt. Charleston. Skiers love Mt. Charleston and the many other ski slopes within a short drive of Las Vegas for their winter fun.

Make sure and take advantage of the enjoyable day tour to beautiful Lake Mead and the magnificent Hoover Dam. An engineering marvel, this “Eighth Wonder of the World” holds back the Colorado River, forming one of the world’s largest man-made lakes. Lake Mead’s deep blue waters and 550 miles of shoreline are enjoyed year round by boaters, water skiers, swimmers and people just hoping to hook a trophy fish. And for the really adventurous, the Colorado River offers unforgettable white water rafting. Viva Las Vegas!

PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO

This Mexican seaside paradise has something special for everyone, with a wide variety of attractions and entertainment options. There are cultural events and exhibits, exciting day trips to the jungle, relaxing days at the beach, and countless romantic hideaways to explore. Immeasurable activities, both on and off the water, will keep you entertained until it is sadly time to depart. Night life abounds with many popular night clubs and an array of quality restaurants to please even the most discriminating palette. Puerto Vallarta is yours to savor.

Well known as one of the friendliest and most diverse beach destinations in the world, it is also the most well-kept beach area in all of Mexico. Now a world-class modern destination, it still has retained most of the quaint charms of the original fishing village it once was. The cobblestone streets and bell tower architecture are part of the mystery and romance of the scenery. Donkeys are still used for delivery in many parts of this unique city, and many of the crafts available here are made by local Indians using the same methods for hundreds of years.

This area enjoys over 300 sunny days a year; and with temperatures averaging right around 83 degrees, it’s perfect for the seemingly endless number of beautiful beaches. Choose from wide-open soft, white, sand beaches to picturesque rock surrounded coves. The most popular beach is Los Muertos, just south of the Rio Cuale, in Old Town. Weekends at this beach are fantastic. The beaches just north, on the road to Punta de Mita, are full of quaint beachside restaurants featuring an array of delicious fresh seafood. The southern beaches, like their northern partners, are beautiful and usually much less crowded.

When you’re here, make sure to charter a “Pangas” to go fishing. Almost everyone will catch something. The waters are abundant with sailfish all year long and other species more seasonal. Or if serious shopping is your game, this area is a dream come true. There are specialty shops galore lining virtually every street in the downtown area (where English is widely spoken). There are outdoor markets, flea markets, shopping centers, small indoor centers, and everything in between.

Travel To Go Reviews casino destinations all over the country, everywhere from Atlantic City to Las Vegas Reno and Tahoe and many points inbetween.  With Travel To Go Scam Watch articles and advice, you can feel confident of increasing the odds of winning on your next casino vacation.

Tommy Middaugh Jeanette Bunn And Travel To Go Review The Costa Linda Beach Resort

Since 1990 Travel To Go San Diego has been successfully arranging luxurious vacation resort accommodations for the savvy vacationer worldwide.  Tommy Middaugh and Travel To Go destinations president, Jeanette Bunn are pleased to bring you this Travel To Go review of the Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort to assist you with your summer vacation plans this year.

Vacationers to Aruba will love the Costa Linda Beach Resort.  The perfect island hideaway, Costa Linda Beach Resort, located on Eagle Beach, is one of the finest beaches in Aruba.  Guests can enjoy a range of activities there  organized for adults and children during the week. There’s something different every day ranging from pool and beach games to arts and crafts, bingo and live steel band music for adults while the children are kept busy with jewelry making, finger painting, building sand castles, a tug of war and a scavenger hunt on the beach. Guest of the Costa Linda Beach resort are sure to be thrilled by Aruba’s amazing coral reef.  Crystal-clear waters, multicolored marine life and a chain of coral reefs hugging the leeward coast make Aruba a popular scuba and snorkeling destination. If this wasn’t enough, the island has the added attraction of more than a dozen wrecks – including a 400-foot-long freighter to explore – leading some divers to call it the “wreck diving capital of the Caribbean.”

Divers can also  see fish of all sizes ranging from the diminutive sergeant major, squirrelfish, silversides, wrasses and grunts to blue tangs, snappers, yellow tail and groupers. Lobster, shrimp and sea horses hide among the corals and sightings of spotted eagle ray, mantas, barracudas and sea turtles are frequent. If you enjoy snorkeling but are still not quite ready to take that all-important resort course to become a fully-fledged diver, how about Snuba, which is a combination of snorkeling and scuba? You can also try the Sea Trek, a walk along the seabed wearing a special mask that enables you to breathe underwater. You do not need to be an expert swimmer or diver to enjoy either of these activities. See the reefs without getting wet and show your children the wonders of the underwater world by booking a trip on a glass-bottomed boat, the Seaworld Explorer semi-submarine and the Atlantis Submarine, which takes you down to a depth of 120 feet. Visitors can also enjoy a guided kayak trip along the sheltered southern coast and explore the mangrove forest, sea caves and a crystal-clear lagoon that was once a refuge for pirates. You’ll stop along the way for a spot of beach and snorkeling time. No previous kayaking experience is required.

Aruba is also an ideal location for windsurfing.  The prevailing trade winds that blow across Aruba at a constant 15 knots cause choppy conditions along the windward shore, making beaches like Boca Grandi unsuitable for swimming and snorkeling but highly desirable for experienced windsurfers, kite boarders and surfers. Indeed, the island has its own windsurfing community and over the past few years, several local windsurfers have triumphed in international tournaments. The island also hosts the annual Hi-Winds Amateur World Challenge Windsurfing competition.

And visitors who enjoy fishing are sure to enjoy the splendor and excitement of Aruba.  Guests who are an old hand with a rod and net or have always wanted to try fishing are sure to enjoy the waters around Aruba which provide plenty of challenges. Game fish such as sailfish, blue and white marlin, wahoo, tuna, bonito and dorado are plentiful year-round. Visitors  can also charter a boat for a day or a half-day and the experienced crew will take them right to where the fish are running. Guest should be sure to help preserve local fish stocks by adhering to the catch and release policy, though.

As you can see, Aruba offers all kinds of excitement sure to please the entire family.

Situated on over thirty sloping acres overlooking Kahului Bay in Kailua-Kona, the Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort has been constructed in a style reminiscent of old Hawaii. The luxury development is sensitively designed and incorporates a Territorial Hawaii theme.

When you stay at Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island’s west coast, you’ll feel as if you’re stepping back in time to a simpler, unspoiled era. Every detail has been designed to re-create the charming island ambiance found back in the ’30s, while still assuring you all the comfortable amenities and activities you expect in a modern-day tropical resort.

Visitors to the Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort can enjoy a variety of exciting activities hosted there.  Guests most often mention the Hawaiian ambiance and the authentic theme and decor of Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort as one of their favorite aspects. The retro feel does not mean sacrificing modern pleasures. Visitors can enjoy two outdoor pools, hot tubs, exercise room and six barbecue stations to host their very own mini-luau. Vacationers can also take part in many island-inspired classes that teach them how to make Hawaiian leis. Finally, visitors need to be sure not to miss Aloha Tuesdays, a friendly owner party with appetizers and a hula show.

Guests at the Kona Hawaiian Resort can relax in style in a two bedroom, two bath condo that overlooks tropical plants and colorful flowers. The master bedroom features a roomy king bed and whirlpool tub while the second bedroom boasts a comfy king or queen bed. A separate living room beckons with a queen sleeper sofa, cable television, and DVD player. There’s also an open air lanai and a fully equipped kitchen where home-cooked Hawaiian meals both large and small can be prepared with fresh, local ingredients. This non-smoking accommodation offers 1156 square feet of space and can accommodate up to six guests.

Furnished in traditional Hawaiian décor, these spacious suites are extremely comfortable and will be a joy to return to after a full day on the beach or sightseeing. Amenities are in no short supply and include a full kitchen, allowing you to save big bucks on the Big Island, and a washer and dryer, which means fewer clothes to bring and lower airline baggage fees.

Tommy Middaugh Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort Testimonial And Travel To Go Review

Travel To Go San Diego offers travel tips and tips good for the entire family.  As part of Travel To Go membership commitment, Jeanette Bunn and Tommy Middaugh offer family vacation destination advice and well as vacation tips on how to receive the very best travel club discount vacation packages.  With Travel To Go reviews of vacation destinations you can more wisely make the most of your discounted travel this year.  Just got back from a week at this Hilton and could not have been happier with our first stay both on the island and at this excellent hotel. We definitively plan on returning next year! The location is perfect – mid-island in Palmetto Dunes, which is a beautifully secluded plantation away from the more commercial and public areas such as Coligny Circle. There are waterways throughout with kayak rentals and plenty of bike paths. Just outside Palmetto Dunes are handy shops like a grocery store, beach supplies, etc. Also close by is Shelter Cove marina, with outdoor performances by musicians and fireworks every Tuesday in the summer. The actual hotel was probably built years ago (as most on the island were) but the landscaping and public areas are kept in pristine conditions. Most rooms appear to have either a view of shaded courtyard, the pool area, or a partial ocean view (classified as an “island view” by the hotel). There are ponds throughout with turtles and fish, lots of decks with bathers, a baby pool, kids pool, adults-only pool and 2 hot tubs. The hotel provides free use of pool/beach towels during your stay. The beach is right outside of the hotel, accessed by a short boardwalk. The sand is perfect for sandcastles, cycling and walking – always very firm from the tide coming and going (twice every 24 hours). The water was warm and very shallow, with some mild waves for kids to try and surf. Beach chairs/umbrellas can be rented – lots of people brought their own with them instead. The hotel rooms are much larger than a typical hotel of this class. In addition to the bed/TV armoire/desk & chair, there is a couch + chair, eating area with 2 chairs and kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, sink and kitchen supplies. The balcony is a good size with 2 chairs, small table and drying rack for towels etc. The rooms were renovated in June 2004, so there was no sign of age/deterioration anywhere. The staff was friendly and helpful, although we only had a turndown service offered once in our 5 night stay and the daily maid service sometimes was as late as 2pm. We had a late flight our last day, so asked and received an extended check-out our last day (from the normal 11am checkout to a later 5pm departure) for half the cost of a full night stay. This got us an extra day at the beach. We want to thank Tommy Middaugh and Travel To Go for the amazing vacation. Jane

Jeanette Bunn And Travel To Go Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort Testimonials

Travel To Go San Diego offers reviews on great discounted vacations.  Travel To Go destinations are offered at some of the most exclusive vacation destinations in the world.  Travel To Go and Jeanette Bunn  are pleased to offer you this article to assist you with all your family vacation needs, romantic weekends and corporate retreats.  Travel To Go reviews are here to assist you will all your travel planning needs. My husband and I just spent a week at the beginning of June at the Hilton Head Hilton Oceanfront Resort having booked our trip with Travel to Go San Diego. Our criteria when we were looking for a place to stay was that it be truly an oceanfront resort, have food and entertainment at the resort and be reasonably priced. The Hilton Oceanfront Resort met all of these criteria and more. The resort staff was very accommodating and kind. There was plenty to do…swim in one of their 2 pools (one for families with children, one just for adults), swim in the ocean and lay and/or play on the beach–the resort rents out chairs, umbrellas and a variety of beach toys (boogie boards, inner tubes, etc…), spend a few nights in their bar with great live entertainment–dance if you wish, or just sit and enjoy! We were able to play ping pong, sit at the outside bar/eating area and listen to more great live music or just walk around and enjoy their beautifully landscaped grounds. Our bed was turned down each night, the room was spacious enough with a fridge, sink, silverware, cups and plates for us to use. I believe there was also a microwave; however we did not use it. The island has so much to do—we definitely recommend renting a car, but we were so glad to come back each day to the Hilton Oceanfront Resort. It was a wonderful place to call home for a week. We already can’t wait for our next trip to Hilton Head! Anne

Tommy Middaugh And Travel To Go Review Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort Testimonials

Travel To Go vacations reviews and more, are here to offer you the very best in travel services available today.   From discounted family vacations to romantic luxury accommodations, Travel To Go membership and Tommy Middaugh are here to offer travel reviews and vacation destination articles to help you with your vacation planning this year.  Jeanette Bunn, president of Travel To Go San Diego, is very pleased to bring you the following luxury vacation destination review.

Before I write this review, you should know the perspective in which I come from. We have stayed here when it was a Hilton property.  We are Hilton Honor Diamond status members.  This was our very first visit to Hilton Head.  We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage children. We stayed for five nights and booked with the assistance of Tommy Middaugh of Travel To Go.

First of all, Hilton Head Palmetto Dunes Plantation is a beautiful spot. The location of the hotel was fabulous. Palmetto Dunes Tennis facility was within biking and walking distance from the hotel and had wonderful programs for children. There was also a small general store right next to the tennis facility where the kids could bike to and get ice cream.

The beach was amazing – and of course the resort is right on the beach –very convenient. Since we drove, we took our own beach chairs, but there is chair rentals on the beach.

The hotel grounds were absolutely beautiful – well maintained and very inviting.

We stayed in a standard room with 2 queen size beds. The rooms were VERY spacious and had a small kitchenette, which is nice to prepare lunch meals as opposed to purchasing lunch at the resort.

The absolute best experience we had at this resort was the Concierge. If you frequent Hilton Head, you know that dining and reservations can be a nightmare. It seems that no restaurants take reservations – and the waits are horrific. After 2 days of utter frustration it finally dawned on me to consult the concierge – who set me up with reservations at the best restaurants for the rest of the week – a savior! If you are staying at the Hilton resort – it is imperative that you use the concierge for dining reservations. We recommend Marley’s and Black Marlin.

Travel To Go San Diego And Tommy Middaugh Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort Testimonials

Since 1990 Travel To Go San Diego has been successfully arranging luxurious vacation resort accommodations for the savvy vacationer worldwide. A California corporation, Travel To Go is a membership vacation services company, licensed as required by the states of California, Florida, and Hawaii. Tommy Middaugh is pleased to present this and other Travel To Go reviews and reminds you that Travel To Go destinations are worldwide and at the very best discounted vacation rates. We got a great deal with Travel To Go and Tommy Middaugh for the weekend at an amazing discounted rate. We were upgraded to the 5th floor with a great Ocean view. The higher the floor the better the view, so we were very pleased with our 5th floor accommodation. Our room was very clean, beds comfortable, extra pillows and towels. We used the kitchenette to warm up leftovers and make popcorn.  We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Service is outstanding at this hotel from when you arrive until you leave. Everyone really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Nice touches with flavored water and fresh fruit available in the lobby and bottled water by the entrance to the hotel. We didn’t use the Exercise Room but it was nice and clean.

We used the Palmetto Market to buy pizza and were please with the other food choices. Good music in the XO Lounge and they have drink and small plate specials nightly.

Mark and Sally

We go to Hilton Head Island 3 times a year and always stay at The Hilton and always book through Jeanette Bunn and Travel To Go San Diego.  The rooms are very spacious and the staff is nice and helpful.

The food is very reasonable and the menu has something everyone will like. It is my children’s favorite place to go, ages 17, 13 and 7. We are always able to get amazing vacation discounts here and other places through Travel to Go and their Hot Weeks program.

Travel To Go San Diego employees and families raised over $600.00 in San Diego’s MDA Muscle Walk held at the Crown Point Park, Mission Bay, CA on February 26, 2012.

Travel To Go Membership Assistance Specialist, Gloria Simpson, acted as team captain and was in charge of organizing the twelve company employees and family members.   All of the members of “Team Scooter” proudly wore their Travel To Go pins and completed the 5K (3.1 miles) walk.

“It meant a lot that so many employees agreed to participate in the event, even though this involved taking some of their Sunday relaxing time.  “Even those employees that could not walk, made donations” says Simpson whose sister, Dawnette, and brother, Donald, have muscular dystrophy.  Simpson counts her fellow Travel To Go employees as her “extended family” and added that “people really do need to continue to be generous in supporting awareness and realize the importance of continued commitment.”

Until her family was affected, Simpson was not aware of the scope of costs involved in just meeting everyday needs.  For example, it cost several hundred dollars just to replace the headlight on her sister’s scooter (hence the name Team Scooter) and it takes $800.00 for a child to attend camp.  Thanks to the generosity of all that participated in the walk, over $144,000 was raised that will continue to fund the clinic, summer camp, support groups, research, equipment repairs/modifications and much more. Ms. Simpson urges everyone to visit www.mdausa.org and donate to this worthy cause.

Travel to Go offers travel benefits and services to a loyal customer base of 50k members and is currently celebrating 22 years in the vacation and travel business. Send Me on Vacation Mission The “Send Me on Vacations Mission” is to provide a much needed vacation to women with breast cancer who have undergone treatment and need a place to rejuvenate and heal their body, mind and spirit. Send Me on Vacation Cause Many women who have experienced treatment for cancer will tell you that when the physical aspects of the battle end, the emotional struggles begin. The adverse effects of the treatment can leave women, their families and friends in shambles. We believe that an essential step in surviving this experience is to provide survivors with a well deserved vacation to celebrate life!

Bette’s Story Just before Memorial Day, 2010 while showering I found a large lump in my right breast. I immediately went for a mammogram. The tests showed 3 large growths. At that very moment the aliens took over my life, my bank account, my emotions, my time, and my body but left my heart and soul, although bruised but still intact. After further testing positive for the Braca gene, it was strongly suggested that I have a double mastectomy and reconstruction, I did. In the past 20 months I have had 6 surgeries, chemotherapy, lymphodemia, hair loss, weight gain and pain. The end result is that I have recently emerged, Cancer Free! Throughout my journey I have met some remarkable soldiers who work in the health care industry and extraordinary strangers offering kindness and prayers. I now have made many new friends from my breast cancer support groups and I continue to always support others who have been affected by this disease. My compassion has grown, and I have written a list of helpful hints that my doctor uses for his patients and support groups. I am constantly trying to give back to others. YES, breast cancer can be curable BUT always leaves us changed! A vacation was much needed, but out of reach, so I felt very honored to be chosen for such a splendid gift!

Thank you Travel To Go.

Denver, Colorado

The Gateway to the Rockies provides an incredibly diverse set of activities for any tourist. You can start in the city by visiting the Denver Zoo, the mile-long 16th Street Mall, or one of dozens of local brewpubs in a city famed for its beer. You can also take advantage of Denver’s 300 days of average annual sunshine and check out one of the many local fly-fishing, rock climbing or white water rafting guide companies.

Estes Park, Colorado

The reason to visit Rocky Mountain National Park and its eastern gateway Estes Park is to go outside and stay outside, especially in summer. Rocky Mountain National Park bills itself as a “living showcase of the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains” with “opportunities for countless breathtaking experiences and adventures.” These opportunities include hiking or horseback riding along the park’s 359 miles of trails. Camping, fishing, climbing, biking, and wildlife viewing also beckon the outdoors enthusiast. Estes Park is the place to be in July for the Rooftop Fair and Rodeo, with cowboys and concerts. And you can enjoy Lake Estes along the walkway around it, peddling paddle-boats across it, or gliding on sailboats through it.

Florida

With its long beaches on both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, Florida has plenty to offer families in addition to theme park mecca Orlando which is in the middle of the state. Remember, though, that Florida beaches are hugely popular for college spring break partying. The best strategy for families may be to choose destination-type resorts with private locations, rather than beach towns.

Dallas, Texas

Although it’s only the third largest city in Texas, Dallas is the state’s most popular tourist destination. It’s a major convention city, and also draws a large number of casual tourists. Although this large city has a lot to offer, they are definitely known for their food. The city boasts excellent restaurants that serve barbecue, authentic Mexican, and Tex-Mex cuisines. Dallas offers more restaurants per capita than even New York City. For an educational trip, kids are admitted free to the 6th Floor Museum, which takes a look at the life of JFK. Save on gas and parking by getting to the renovated warehouse district Deep Elm for a look at interesting local shops and the cities best music scene; find a local band and get a reasonably priced ticket at two of their better venues: Club Clearview and Trees.

Daytona Beach, Florida

Daytona Beach in Florida is really a certain money saver because it provides lots of hotels and motels at very inexpensive rates. Actually you can even find a unit that has a kitchen area to prepare your own dishes. If you would like one great way to unwind, you could possibly spend all your afternoon simply bumming around and exploring the beach front. You may also go to the Area Scenic Inland Waterway making it possible to board a canoe or kayak and get an unforgettable trip. The beach front is also close to theme parks which you could go to. It’s also possible to join historical excursions and stop by facilities where golf and tennis championship games were held!

Charleston, South Carolina

Beautiful architecture, relaxing beaches and plenty of Southern grace are the defining elements of Charleston. Strolling through downtown and exploring historic sites and nearby museums are great ways to spend those non-beach afternoons. Charleston also has a lot to offer for those looking to dig into some serious Southern dishes.

Chicago, Illinois

The main appeal of Chicago has to be its neighborhoods: Each one has its own identity and characteristics that set it apart. Forget about the tourist checklist of must-sees; strolling through the different districts and exploring all they have to offer is the best way to experience Chicago. As an added bonus, some of the best dining, nightlife and shopping in the States can be found here.

Collingwood, Canada

If tearing down the slopes isn’t exactly your idea of skiing fun, maybe a less-intense winter getaway is in order. Nestled in the shadow of the Niagara Escarpment and surrounded by Georgian Bay (about 90 miles away from Toronto), Collingwood is Ontario, Canada’s, quintessential family destination, where ski-bunnies-in-training can take advantage of the wide variety of lessons and activities available to kids while their parents get a much-deserved break. And even if you don’t have any kids in tow, Collingwood is the perfect place to learn to ski or brush up on long-forgotten skills without the pressure of a major mountain looming.

Cancun, Mexico

Miles of beaches, endless luxury accommodations and a nonstop party atmosphere in Cancun have transformed this once sleepy village on the Yucatan coast into one of Mexico’s most popular tourist attractions, particularly during spring break.

Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Once you drive past the Cape’s elbow, heading north up the forearm, congestion and commercialism subside, replaced by the long stretch of sand, dunes, and moors that make up the Cape Cod National Seashore. During his presidency, John F. Kennedy fought hard to designate the 40-mile stretch of fine, white beach that lines the Upper Cape a national seashore. Learn about the history and ecology of the region at the Salt Pond Visitor Center. Afterwards, rent bikes down the road at Little Capistrano Bike Shop and ride the 3.2-mile (round-trip) National Seashore Bike Trail through woods and marsh to Coast Guard Beach, where towering dunes back the beach.

Carolina Beach, North Carolina

Carolina Beach is also known for its sand. Windsurfing is a popular activity in this resort town, with scores of colorful wind sails peppering the surf on windy days. Deep sea fishing is extremely popular among locals and tourists alike. Charter a boat or go on one of many group excursions available. In addition to water activities also check out the boardwalk, enjoy great local restaurants, shopping and family activities, such as miniature golf, bumper cars or renting bicycles.

California

In northern California’s Bay Area, San Francisco has plenty of sightseeing for families. Moving south, the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay has a scenic spot on bluffs above unspoiled coast. Monterey Bay is home to a major aquarium, and a good place to see sea lions, harbor seals and sea otters; March and April are whale-watching months as well. Halfway between SF and LA, San Luis Obispo has low-cost attractions plus free fun at beaches with tide pools, or piers, or sand dunes. There is also a free night-time farmers’ market with live music, and bouncey houses for kids. California offers skiing too, in the east of the state: for example, Mammoth Mountain is a great place for spring break skiing, and is in the Sierra Nevada range.

Canadian Rockies

Alberta’s section of the Rocky Mountains is a glorious playground of waterways ringed by snowcapped peaks. Grab bikes and ride around that gem of water, Lake Louise, perched a mile high, and you’ll understand. Then hike with rangers at Banff and Jasper national parks to see glaciers and grizzlies at a distance. You can paddle the shores of Maligne Lake or raft down the Sunwapta River, an exciting yet safe introduction to whitewater rafting.

Boston, Massachusetts

Quincy Market is a popular destination that will get you oriented with both the layout and distinctive style of this historic city. And speaking of history, Fenway Park is popular with locals and tourists alike, and you don’t even have to be a Red Sox fan to enjoy a game (but it helps!). You may also want to put some class in your trip and take a free walking tour of one of the many elite colleges located in Boston. Harvard, MIT and the famed Berklee College of Music are all loaded with historic buildings and grounds. Pretend you’re a student for a day! The city is also home to one of the best aquariums in the eastern United States. When your visit at the aquarium is over, spend the rest of the day walking the waterfront or visiting one of Boston’s excellent seafood restaurants.

Bozeman, Montana

Though Bozeman is far from being the largest city in Montana, its landscape is highly rated by Montana travelers. Nestled by the Rocky Mountains and the Gallatin National Forest, Bozeman is an outdoorsman’s paradise. Get away from the bustle of the big city and enjoy the peace and quite of nature while fly-fishing or exploring wildlife on a safari tour. If taking it relatively easy is not your thing, then sign up for a thrilling whitewater rafting trip, but make sure you hold on tight — some of the raft trips are not for the faint of heart.

Branson is an unassuming vacation destination with small-town charm and big-city entertainment in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. Millions of visitors come each year to see a show at any of the 50 theaters and enjoy outdoor fun on the lake.

Atlantis’ spa, 35 restaurants and lounges, and huge casino aim to please adults. Wildlife lovers will appreciate the world’s largest open-air marine habitat built into separate lagoons that feature hundreds of species of tropical fish, sharks, stingrays, and even piranhas. Oh, there’s also a beach to enjoy the sparkling white sand and emerald waters of the Caribbean.

Austin, Texas

Austin is an enigma in the best possible sense of the word. On one hand, it’s a laid-back college town in the center of Texas, with mellow coffeehouses and serene parks. On the other, it’s a fast-growing cosmopolitan city with an electric nightlife scene and an unfathomable number of live-music venues. However, it’s probably best to avoid Austin at the peak of summer when the temperatures soar.

Bahia Honda State Park, Florida

Bahia Honda has several white sandy beaches for you to enjoy. Calusa is the smallest beach; it is located on the northwest side of the island. There are several small pavilions in this area and a bathhouse with outdoor, fresh water showers. Loggerhead is the shallowest beach and is located on the south side of the island. It is known for the large shallow sand bar just a few feet offshore.

The Alamo

The most popular attraction in Texas, the Alamo welcomes over 2.5 million visitors each year. The Alamo played a crucial part in the Texas Revolution, as it was here that a small band of Texans fought for 13 days against the Mexican army of Santa Anna.

Anaheim-Santa Ana, California

Anaheim and Santa Ana are the major tourist destinations in California’s Orange County. Both cities are a short distance from the coast, making them especially popular for summer vacations. Disneyland calls Anaheim home, the Walt Disney Company is the city’s largest employer.

Atlanta, Georgia

As the gateway to the New South, Atlanta has certainly come a long way since it burned to the ground during General William Tecumseh Sherman’s March to the Sea in 1864. And while remains of the Civil War are still a big draw for visitors — the Kennesaw Mountain/National Battlefield Park and Cheatham Hill specifically, there is much more to this great city than 150-year-old confrontations. Atlanta boasts the world’s largest aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola museum, a world-class zoo, an impressive botanical garden, and Federal parks highlighting the life and works of native son Martin Luther King, Jr. Reinvigorated neighborhoods scattered throughout the city, such as Virginia-Highlands, Midtown and Buckhead, are easy to navigate on foot and boast great shopping, dining and nightlife. Progressive yet rich in history, Atlanta truly has something for everyone.

To Go employees and families raised over $600.00 in San Diego’s MDA Muscle Walk held at the Crown Point Park, Mission Bay, CA on February 26, 2012.

Travel To Go Membership Assistance Specialist, Gloria Simpson, acted as team captain and was in charge of organizing the twelve company employees and family members.   All of the members of “Team Scooter” proudly wore their Travel To Go pins and completed the 5K (3.1 miles) walk.

“It meant a lot that so many employees agreed to participate in the event, even though this meant taking some of their Sunday relaxing time.

Team Scooter with Dawnette Rawls

Until her family was affected, Simpson was not aware of the scope of costs involved in just meeting everyday needs.  For example, it cost several hundred dollars just to replace the headlight on her sister’s scooter (hence the name Team Scooter) and it takes $800.00 for a child to attend camp.  Thanks to the generosity of all that participated in the walk, over $144,000 was raised that will continue to fund the clinic, summer camp, support groups, research, equipment repairs/modifications and much more.

Travel To Go Reviews Four Amazing Family Spring Break Destinations

Travel To Go San Diego, along with Jeanette Bunn and Tommy Middaugh, reviews travel related topics.  In their Travel To Go Reviews program they review vacation destinations, offer tips and tricks for travel.  Travel To Go membership benefits also offers a series of articles on avoiding travel scams and Travel To Go is always interested in assisting if you have any complaints about past vacations.

Skiing Vacations

Spring break can be a terrific time for a ski holiday: with milder temperatures, no icy slopes, longer daylight hours, and fewer crowds than during the Holiday Season. Below are some ideas about where to go.   Salt Lake City may be as flat as, well, a salt lake. But within an hour’s drive are no less than seven diverse ski resorts. Dozens of cities have direct flights to SLC, so visitors get not just great snow (“champagne powder”) but also more time on the slopes. Colorado, meanwhile, offers big name ski resorts, cute Victorian towns, and many nice features for families.   Note, you may be able to reduce the high cost of skiing with Kids Ski Free deals: at Steamboat, in Colorado, for instance, kids up to age 12 can Ski Free with a parent or grandparent. And several airlines — United, American, Northwest– have Kids Fly Free deals for ski packages.

Vancouver

Vancouver BC, located on the West Coast of Canada, has a mild climate with only a few snowfalls in the winter, and by the time Spring Break rolls around, spring has truly bloomed. Hiking or biking in Stanley Park is a favorite tourist activity, sailboats bob in the sea, and the golf courses are busy.   Although it’s springtime by the sea, there is still snow on the mountains that give Vancouver its dramatic backdrop, and visitors can easily head for the hills for a day of snowsports. Three local ski resorts are a half-hour from downtown, including: Cypress Mountain, an Olympic venue in 2010, and Grouse Mountain, whose scenic gondola is a popular tourist attraction year-round.

Washington D.C.

Washington DC is a top destination for spring break, and for many families the spring school break coincides with the two weeks of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The Festival commemorates the gift of thousands of cherry trees given to Washington by the city of Tokyo starting in the spring of 1912. The Festival has grown into a city-wide celebration with hundreds of special events and cultural performances. Dates for 2012 are from March 20 to April 27.

Fun things to do include special bike ride tours and free walking tours with a Park Ranger. A highlight for families is the National Cherry Blossom Festival Family Day which precedes the Opening Ceremony at the National Building Museum. This free event showcases Japanese arts and includes performances and hands-on activities such as creating origami. Another big event is the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. This is Washington’s biggest annual spectator event, and tickets for grandstand seats go on sale as early as November. Families might also le the Smithsonian Kite Festival, which is part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and which takes place on the National Mall. Washington DC is generally an affordable destination, and many hotels offer packages during the Festival weeks. Sightseeing options are many and include the free Smithsonian Museums such as the National Museum of Natural History, National Air & Space Museum, and more.

Quebec City

Quebec City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and on the practical side has some exceedingly quaint places for hot chocolate and good meals, such as Le Cochon Dingue (“The Crazy Pig”). Don’t worry about the language thing; those in the tourist trade speak English as well as French, and the Quebecois are known as a warm and “joie de vivre” type of people.   Be sure to visit the bilingual Museum of Civilization, which always has imaginative and interactive special displays that appeal to kids. Parents should also be sure to sample some of Quebec City’s sophisticated restaurants.   Families can do some fun and easy outings from Quebec City: the Ice Hotel is just ten minutes from downtown and is a fun place to tour. Not far away is the Valcartier Vacation Village which is like a winter amusement park, with slides, show rafting, snow play areas and more. (In summer, this is a water park.)   For a ski trip head to Mont-Sainte-Anne, just half an hour away. This ski resort has a mid-sized mountain with over sixty runs and 213 km(132 miles) of cross-country trails.

Santa Fe

Bishop’s Lodge has an adult look but does feature a Kids’ Camp program with horseback riding, and a Horse Camp for kids has been offered in two sessions during Spring Break. (Check for updates.) The Lodge is located on 450 acres in a private valley five minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza; a spa and pool are on-site, and private two-and-three-bedroom villas are available. Did you see the movie Crazy Heart? The crew spent nine days filming here.   Saint Patrick’s Day Vacations

They say “Everybody’s Irish” on March 17th, meaning that St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are open to all. If March 17th falls during the week of your child’s spring break, St. Patrick’s Day can be an opportunity for some extra fun during a visit to, say, New York City or Boston, both of which have parades and festivities.   Families can also enjoy St. Paddy’s Day in some less expected places– such as Phoenix, Arizona, where a big parade attracts over 50,000 spectators. Or the tiny Caribbean island of Montserrat, where, due to some twists of history, St. Patrick’s Day is a national holiday. Also in the “less expected” category of places celebrating St. Patrick’s Day: a number of ski resorts have a tradition of festivities on March 17th.

Sea Island Georgia

This legendary upscale resort is the kind of place where families return for generations. Four resorts share 10,000 acres of forest, lawn, and marshland, five miles of private beachfront, and many outdoor and indoor activities for the whole family. Kids’ programs are typically offered during spring break.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

South Carolina is the #2 state for tourism after Florida, and Myrtle Beach draws a lot of these visitors. Myrtle Beach is 98 miles north of Charleston and has a sixty-mile stretch of beaches called the “Grand Strand”); Myrtle Beach also has amusement parks that kids will enjoy. Note, however, that Myrtle Beach is a mecca for college spring break! Families may want to visit other times of the year, or at least check a hotel or resort carefully to make sure they won’t be surrounded by springer breakers.

Orlando, Florida

If you’re planning your spring break in Orlando, start withWalt Disney World — a “world” the size of Boston, with four theme parks, two water parks, Downtown Disney entertainment zone, and twenty-two themed resorts. And you’ll want to know about Universal Orlando which has the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in one of its two theme parks, plus three nearby resorts and the CityWalk entertainment zone. But there’s also SeaWorld and Discovery Cove and Aquatica Water Park, and a chance to see performances by Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group…

Phoenix, Arizona

Locals as well as visitors love to take an easy getaway at these Arizona resorts that offer built-in fun for kids: giant waterslides, lazy rivers, novelty pools… The Arizona Grand Resort has a convenient location just 15 minutes from the Phoenix airport and a full-fledged water park with waterslides, wave pool, river float, and kiddie pool. Golf is a highlight too with a golf course right at the resort and a high-tech learning center. Guests can also do beautiful hikes or mountain biking in the adjacent 16,500 acre South Mountain Park/Preserve. Several other resorts in the area have water park features, including the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, with 1600 ft. lazy river and several unusual pools; the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess with 200-foot waterslides, dive-in movies, and a “Hangout” for teens; and the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch with a 2.5 acre water playground that has 10 pools and three-storey waterslides.   Quebec City

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

This popular destination has average highs in the 70s in March and April, and a range of lodgings, from upscale gated resort communities to vacation home rentals, with a lot in between including a Disney resort. Kids’ programs in this area are mainly summer-only, but some are offered during spring break too.

Kaanapali Beach

Located near the town of Lahaina, Kaanapali Beach is a top beach in Maui, with a three-mile stretch of gentle shore, beautiful western views at sunset, and good snorkeling at one end.   The family-friendly Kaanapali Beach Hotel has had its prime spot on this beach since 1964, and it remains a relaxed resort today, with park-like grounds, a modest pool, open-air restaurant and bar, and small stage for hula that’s put to use every night.   The Kaanapali takes pride in being Maui’s “most Hawaiian hotel”. Free Hawaiian cultural activities are scheduled daily, such as lei-making, hula, lau print-making, or playing the ukelele; kids and adults are welcome, and kids have an “Aloha Passport” that gets stamped with each activity. Story telling about Hawaii’s history is scheduled too, and every guest receives a departure lei presented in a graceful little ceremony. All in all this is a unique resort that’s cherished by many return guests, and the price point is good as well.

Locations with Indoor Water Parks

Wisconsin Dells is still the indoor water park capital of the world, but some of its major players — especially Great Wolf Lodge, and also Kalahari Resort — are building more water park resorts in other towns. Great Wolf Lodge Poconos is just one of nearly a dozen other Great Wolf Lodge properties, each with signature indoor waterparks and other entertainment. See signature features at Great Wolf Lodge resorts. Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Waterpark made waves as the first indoor water park resort in New York state. Meanwhile, Sandusky Ohio — famous in summer because of ‘coasters at Cedar Point amusement park — has a cluster of indoor water park resorts.

Arizona

Spring break is good timing for dude ranches in Arizona, which typically shut down during the heat of summer months. Imagine horseback riding, the Great Outdoors, home-cooked meals, cookout under the stars, and maybe a massage and spa treatment. While rustic working ranches do still exist, 21st-century dude ranches have trended to resort-style luxuries. Many also have kids’ programs.   Rancho de Los Caballeros is an authentic guest ranch that has been welcoming “tenderfeet” since the late 1940′s. Located just outside of Wickenburg, Arizona (aka: the Dude Ranch Capital of the World), this place is all about families and horsebck riding. Guests can also enjoy resort activities including golf and a beautiful spa.

There is also a free night-time farmers’ market with live music, and bouncy houses for kids. California offers skiing too, in the east of the state: for example, Mammoth Mountain is a great place for spring break skiing, and is in the Sierra Nevada range.

Otesaga Hotel Easter falls during either March or April, and some schools get a long weekend, while others get a full week off instead of a “spring break.” Situations vary, but many families have time for a getaway, at which the Easter Bunny is certainly expected to show up.

Travel To Go President, Jeanette Bunn, as a volunteer for C.A.R.E., helped raise a new record of Silent/Live Auction and Super raffle proceeds at the non-profit trade association’s 54th Semi-Annual Conference held from September 24-28, 2011 in Chicago, IL.

Along with the assistance of fellow C.A.R.E. Vice President Dave Dawson (Global Connections) and Wayne Messmer, the well-known voice of the National Anthem that is currently serving as a fixture with the Chicago Cubs and Wolves and formerly, the Blackhawks, Ms. Bunn helped raise over $22,000.00 to underwrite the marketing efforts of the C.A.R.E. organization.

Bunn was responsible for recruiting donations of auction and super raffle items, the coordination of volunteers to set up the auction and recruiting and assisting auctioneer Messmer during the auction. According to Mr. Messmer “I’m so happy that I had the good fortune of being seated next to Jeanette on a plane ride. She spoke with such passion about her business that I was glad to have had the opportunity to meet a terrific group of folks who love life and what they do for a living at the Chicago event. It was a lot of fun. I am so impressed with the genuine energy and enthusiasm within the C.A.R.E. group. The family feeling is most apparent, led by the contagious spirit of service of Jeanette Bunn. I was proud to get to know some outstanding people and to assist with the live auction at the Chicago event and to hopefully have played a small part in helping with their bright future.”
Just a few of the auction items included exotic vacation week packages, advertising opportunities in major trade publications, registrations to industry conventions, and the grand prize of a 40” LCD HDTV. The funds raised are used to increase C.A.R.E.’s membership base, which has a direct impact on all C.A.R.E. member companies.
C.A.R.E. Board of Directors are all volunteers and each chair or co-chair several committees. Bunn is the Co-Chair of the Marketing and Going Green Committees and serves on the Strategic Planning and Travel Club Compliance Committees. According to Bunn “I volunteer for C.A.R.E. to give back to an organization that has helped our company grow over the last 21 years. The relationships we have built as a result of being a member of C.A.R.E. have been instrumental in our success. There has been no better way to thank the organization than to volunteer my strengths. It is very rewarding and I have made lifelong friends as well! I love volunteering for C.A.R.E.”

Travel to Go was one of nine companies supporting breast cancer survivors by sponsoring a hole of golf in a “Survivors Scramble” hosted by Grand Mayan Resort, San Francisco Exchange and CSA Travel Protection at the Grand Mayan Resort in Puerto Vallarta, MX in June 2011. Proceeds from donated funds will send three women on vacation upon completion of their treatments.

Travel To Go sponsored the ninth hole of golf in honor of Kate Seidell, a seven year survivor of breast cancer. Kate, the mother of Steve Olinger of Travel To Go notes “I’m very happy that Steve works for a company that cares about the world, and I’m honored that Travel To Go thought of me.” Kate also added that everyone should have a mammogram. At the time her cancer was detected, she felt great and she was physically active. She actually thought about skipping her mammogram that year because she felt so well, but it was during that appointment that her cancer was detected.

Cathy Backus, Co-President of Women in the Industry and Global Director, CSA Travel Protection was instrumental in organizing the event and notes that “Consumers should consider companies that have a global awareness. Companies that treat their employees well and are good world citizens will treat their customers in a like manner. If there is a choice between companies offering similar products or services, good citizenship should be the deciding factor. The companies that participated in the “Survivors Scramble” and are consistently active in charitable events, such as Travel To Go, are to be commended.”

Travel To Go San Diego “Gets Fit” with Time2Sweat

At Travel To Go complaints are unheard of and at Travel To Go scams are never a concern! Why? Because as part of the Travel To Go commitment to excellence, customer service is always dealt with in a proactive manner. This not only means providing the highest level of excellence in the industry, but it also means Travel To Go reviews tips and tricks to assist in making your vacation run smooth; and along with Travel To Go Membership benefits their destinations are carefully researched to insure they offer optimal entertainment, adventure and excellent service all at affordable and competitive rates. Travel to go would like to take this opportunity to relate to you what others are saying about us.
Travel To Go, a privately-owned company specializing in affordable luxury vacation memberships, has hired Wendy Brinker, Time2Sweat, to provide fitness opportunities for company employees and families.

Wendy Brinker, owner of Time2Sweat, is a certified fitness trainer and has been a group instructor and bodybuilding competitor for 31 years. Her goal is to assist in building confidence, character and enthusiasm for fitness in everyday life. Time2Sweat offers a full range of services from group to personal sessions, including personal shopping for nutritious food options.

Travel To Go offers complimentary workout sessions to their employees and their families two times per week. Each Tuesday, workouts are held at the Travel To Go office. Employees use steps for aerobic activity and lift weights to burn fat and increase lean muscle. On Saturdays, participants meet at Mission Bay and participate in a “Beach Body” workout consisting of football and basketball activities designed to increase the heart rate and burn fat.

According to Tina Baxter, Travel To Go Accounting Assistant, “It feels great to be involved in something that is positive and healthy.” She notes that she is mentally sharper and has more energy. She also adds that “I am thankful to be able to work for a company that cares enough about employee health to provide this benefit.” Avy Armas, a four -year employee of the Member Assistance Department says “ I have never been physically fit and never thought I could be. After participating in the company fitness programs, I have more drive, am more energetic, take on more tasks and know I can be as healthy and fit as I choose to be.”

Ms. Brinker notes that employer- offered training sessions are the exception and not the norm. Wendy reiterates that if employers carefully consider the benefits of healthier employees and families, they would offer similar programs. Physically-fit employees have less health insurance claims which lead to lower group insurance rates for companies. Additionally, physically-fit employees have more energy and take less sick days. In the long run, fitness programs are cost- saving propositions for company owners.

Travel To Go President Participates In ARDA Travel Club Task Force

Travel To Go President, Jeanette Bunn, has been selected to participate on ARDA’s Travel Club Task Force.

According to Jason C. Gamel, ARDA Vice President of State Legislative Affairs, “ARDA welcomes the participation of Jeanette Bunn on the newly formed Travel Club Task Force. As the President of Travel To Go and a leader in the travel services industry, we believe her knowledge and experience will provide great value to the Task Force in accomplishing its goals.” The Task Force, which initially met during ARDA’s fall conference in November, will work to develop an educational white paper on the Travel Club industry aimed at educating the ARDA Board and general membership along with its initial thoughts on how the industry should be regulated. It is anticipated that the resulting document may become one of the leading resources in the public domain pertaining to Travel Clubs. To accomplish that goal, the Task Force will be divided into Education and Legislative Sub-Task Forces.

The Education Sub-Task Force will identify existing Travel Club business models, examine the key behaviors of a successful Travel Club, explain the sales and marketing practices of Travel Clubs as well as how memberships are serviced and describe the various sources of accommodation inventory and other travel related services. The Legislative Sub-Task Force will create legal definitions of a Travel Club and other applicable terms, indentify statues and regulations that currently regulate Travel Club activities and prepare key principles or pillars of regulation for Travel Clubs.

Jeanette Bunn, with 22 years of experience in the travel industry, has been instrumental in the success of Travel To Go. She has been a Vice President of C.A.R.E. since 2005 and is on the Advisory Board and is also the Chair of the Sponsorship committee of “Send Me On Vacation”, a philanthropic program of WIN (Women in the Industry.) According to Bunn “I am honored to be selected as one of the few travel clubs on the ARDA Travel Club Task Force. I look forward to helping ARDA establish boundaries that companies must abide to, in order to protect the integrity of our industry.”

Travel To Go, a privately owned company specializing in affordable luxury vacation memberships, has launched a Facebook page as an added member benefit.
In an effort to continuously offer new member benefits, the Facebook page was launched in August 2011. According to Renée Wagner, Marketing Manager, the page was implemented to “establish a connection with members that was convenient for them and to provide more information. Most importantly, the page allows members to interact with the Travel To Go staff and enhance the dialogue between the two.” An added benefit is that members can interact not only with staff, but can share travel tips with fellow members.

Travel To Go members that access Facebook find even more promotions and deals. Wagner also noted that since the page was launched, all promotions are posted on Facebook first, including the extremely popular “Hot Weeks” which book quickly. Frequently, when last minute cancellations or “flash” deals come in, the deals are gone before an e-blast or website update can be completed. Travel To Go’s Facebook page allows deals to be viewed instantly by members. In addition, Facebook- only promotion codes are occasionally posted.

Benefits of utilizing Travel To Go’s Facebook page have already been realized. National Cruise Week took place from October 17-21, 2011. By viewing the photos, videos and cruise promotions that were posted prior to Cruise Week, members were afforded to opportunity to learn more at their leisure and share the information with their cruise mates. Once the campaign began, members were informed, knew what they wanted and were prepared to take advantage of cruise week specials. In another instance, one member, according to Wagner, posted a question about a destination. The posting was forwarded to a travel specialist and within an hour, the member’s vacation was confirmed and their dream vacation quickly became a reality.

Travel To Go is constantly developing new ways to add value to members via Facebook. Presently, a photo contest in which members can upload their photos and other members can vote on them is underway. This will allow for members to learn about the destinations first hand, start thinking about their next vacation and have a chance to win a grand prize for submitting their photos.

Travel to go would like to take this opportunity to relate to you what others are saying about us.

Last night my wife and I attended a presentation by Travel To Go. We initially were convinced we would not buy anything because most of the time these presentations are a scam of sorts. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm non-confrontational presentation and after the presentation they offered us computer access to research travel opportunities and even provided me with a comparison quote for a trip we took last month. After all was said and done they offered to give us a $1,000 in lieu of the free trip offered to be deducted from a membership. We took them up on their offer. I have done some additional research this morning and find them to be a very reputable company as presented and I am sure we will make great use of their services.

Ric R. Ventura, CA

My wife and I like the other people here attended a presentation to here about a travel company called Travel To Go. Of course the free trip was what got us to attend. After listening to the presentation they gave us a few minutes by ourselves to discuss it in private, we felt no pressure what so ever. As we travel every year anyway and do spend a few thousand per year on travel… we decided to purchase their travel plan.

In the last 2 years we have booked 2 cruises, 3 condos weeks, 2 in Hawaii and 1 in Colorado for a ski trip. I have booked many hotel rooms through them for my business and have an all-inclusive in Cancun booked for Jan 2010. We are very happy with the service and savings that Travel To Go has provided us and have pretty much saved what we bought our membership for.

I think the others that have expressed thier opinions here, do not have a valid complaint as they, as I ,only attended the presentation for the  free trip. The difference is we purchased the program and have used it many times now, and are very happy with our deicission. It sounds like the above just went for a freebee, did’nt purchase, have no experience with the company’s services, but have an opinion  without any experience or information.  You have to expect some restrictions and conditions on a complimentary trip people!!! Nothing Free!!!!!

If you are looking at this company to become a member, all I can tell you is we love it and it works very well for us.

My husband and I have four children and a hotel is out of the question. Condos are too expensive for a single income family. After joining Travel To Go last year we went on three incredible vacations. One in Big Bear,2-Bedroom $299,One in Mammoth 2-Bedroom $349 and for our anniversary we went to Sedonna and stayed at a spa resort in a 1-bedroom for $199.This is the best thing we’ve ever done

andrea d. Henderson, NV

My wife always wanted to go to Hawaii. Travel To Go did a great job putting a package together in Maui. We stayed right on the beach at a beautiful resort and we saved $1500 through our membership! we can’t wait to take another vacation with Travel To Go.

Bob L. Batavia, OH

I booked a romantic trip to San Francisco with Travel To Go and stayed at the Donatello. My husband & I had a great time. The condo was centrally located, we could walk to just about everything. We could also jump on the cable car right around the corner from the resort. There was so much to do and the price of the condo was so affordable, we were able to take a tour to Alcatraz, which my husband loved. Room was very clean and the staff were awesome, the vallet guy recommended a not so touristy place to have breakfast, food was awesome & so were the prices.  Thanks Travel To Go!   Donna S. Bend, OR

I had a fabulous time on my trip to Cabo San Lucus that Travel To Go arranged. We spent a week at the Grand Mayan and it is a magnificent resort. The suite was large and comfortable and the staff was accommodating. Thank you to the staff at Travel To Go for arranging this great week for us!

We love Travel To Go! Their staff is great ! I have used this company for a year now and can’t say anything but great! We travel about 3 times a year and said goodbye to hotels and hello to money saving condos.  The staff (William Ricks) does everything to make your vacation great.  I did nothing he did all the work.  I have stayed in Tenn and Missouri and the resort we stayed in were 4 and 5 star and I payed less than 500.00 both times for 7 days !!! The last one cost me 199.00 !!! This was the best decision my husband and I have ever made when it comes to travel. Thanks Travel To Go San DIego!   Monique C. Ville Platte, LA

We have been a member of Travel to Go for over 5 years. The condos we book through them are 4 and 5 star resorts. The service is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable. The hot weeks are great if you can travel short notice. Recently we stayed at Whiski Jack at Whistler, Canada. It was faboulous! Thanks Gloria for all your help in setting this up!   Maureen M. Duncan, BC. Canada

My wife and I went to a Travel To Go presentation during a weekend presentation for a resort. The Travel To Go Membership was cheaper and give us more vacation choices. The first time I call I had emergency with my business which required me to be Michigan the next day. I called Travel To Go at 1:00pm and was on a Flight by 5:30pm with Hotel reservations and at a discount for the Flight and Hotel. THANK YOU Linda Great Job Tom, IN.   Thomas R. Jeffersonville, IN

We used travel to go for are land and see trip to Alaska and it was great. The agent set up all are travel with hour by hour and day by day of what when and were we would be doing. We are in are 60s and there is noway we could have done better and the agents in Florida were way out of line in price. We met people on the ship that paid $4000.00 more then we did for the same trip. Plus ares was better for we had open setting and they had to sit same place all the time and had coupons they had to show.   Connie G. Kissimmee, FL

Travel To Go is amazing!!  They have allowed my family and I to travel to destinations in The United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.  Gloria makes our travel simple and effortless.  Our last vacation just weeks ago to Aruba was hands down the best beach vacation yet!  The beaches were beautiful and pristine and the water was amazingly clear.  Every condo we have stayed in over the past 8 years has been luxurious, clean, and very spacious, not to mention 50-75% cheaper than what others pay.  Thank you Gloria and Travel To Go!!   Travis B. I wanted to add a note here for those who didn’t join Travel to Go and were just upset about the free stuff.  While I can understand about free stuff not being free, that was a lesson I learned many many years ago.  I gues we got lucky for they bought our lunch and gave us $85.  I tigured it’d been a long time since someone paid me a dollar a minute to listen to a sales pitch…….

but…

We joined Travel to Go mainly as a tool to save a lot of money on the price of cruises. We saved almost enough on our first cruise to pay for the enrollment cost to join.

Since we have a very nice RV, I didn’t think we’d use the condo renting side of TTG. We used it the first time to stay in a condo in Pennsylvania so we’d be less than a day away from our cruise port and we didn’t have to worry about missing the boat.

Well, Michael did such a fine job finding that condo, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere that we decided to use him for this summers play.  I must say that our first trip this year was to Williamsburg at the Williamsburg Plantation…..      It was like borrowing someone’s brand new two bedroom home.  And to top it off it was a hot week…..   $199.

We decided that one week wasn’t enough and tried to get another week there, but nothing was open for the next week.    so I called Michael Foxall and me made a couple of calls and got us a stay at their sister location a mile or so away…..    This was  a nearly new place and really was staying in someone’s new house.

We got two weeks of the greatest time around the Williamsburg area and we’ll not soon forget it…..   and especially Michael’s help with the second week.

We’re at Vail now and Steamboat next week……   I think Michael has turned us into condo junkies…   Sam E. Shawnee, OK

I recently contacted Shawn at Travel to Go to help me plan this years vacation.  The experience was nothing short of fabulous!  From the first phone call to the last e-mail, Shawn was extremely helpful and polite.  He booked us in a resort in Cape Cod which was outstanding.  We had an excellent time and I’m already working with Travel to Go for next year’s vacation.  This was the 3rd time that I have worked with Shawn on my vacation plans and he has been wonderful!!

Thank you for helping me and my family have enjoyable and less expensive vacations!!   Pam G. Owego, NY

We purchased our Travel to go membership this last year.  We just came back from our first condo booked by Travel To Go.   It was a great condo and had a great view of the mountains around Dillon, CO.  We are also RCI members and I tried to get something around Dillon as an extra vacation on RCI and i saved about $150 and had a better unit over what I would have had with RCI.  I am used to exchanging or using extra weeks on RCI but don’t have the same access as they do.  It is good to talk to someone who will give you specific options other than RCI and we can make the choice.   Tom B. I have had the extreme pleasure to work with Travel To Go, and Jeanette Bunn for the past 12 years on a business to business basis.  I have to say that each and every agent in her employ has been extremely professional and is exceedingly helpful every time I’ve worked with them.  They seem to go above and beyond in not only helping their own clients – but helping the companies they work with.

Not only have I gotten to work with Jeanette on a business to business basis, I also have the pleasure of working directly under Jeanette on a committee she co-chairs in an organization we both belong to – Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers.  In this capacity I get to see her “in action” and I must say the experience she brings to the table is vast.  It’s amazing to get to work with a woman with such incredible knowledge, drive, and enthusiasm for the travel industry.  Travel To Go in general, and Jeanette Bunn in particular – are top notch professionals and I enjoy working with them immensely!   Tina S. Betsey Whitman of Sky Travel is an excellent rep. She has, over the years taken care of our flights with professionalism and and a determination to get what you’re looking for. Thanks for the last booking Betsey. We’ll be back in touch when we go to Europe! Good luck in your future endevours!

Randy R. Portland, OR

We are back from our Europe trip.  We had a wonderful time and were so pleased to be able to share the experience with family.   We found Krakow to be the most charming and relaxed.   The tours we booked were excellent.  The tour guides were very attentive.  Prague was the most fairy tale like and we enjoyed the the views from Prague Castle.  It is also filled with quaint back alleys and narrow walking streets.

Vienna had impressive  architecture and was very opulent.

The weather was wonderful and our flights and train ride went off without a hitch, except for seat assignments.   We enjoyed touring, and dining in all three cities.   We appreciated your suggestion  to scale down to 3 cities for our visit.  This allowed us to see each city and still have the time for leasurely sidewalk cafe dinners.

Our hotel arrangements were great. The Hotel Ester in Krakow was charming. Our original rooms were warm as the air conditioning did not work properly.  However, the hotel gratiously upgraded our rooms to suites with properly working airconditioning units.  The Mercure Hotel in Vienna was very nice.  Our only complaint was that it was warm our first night in Vienna, and the hotel has no airconditioning.   However, the location was near the subway and train station.  We were able to take a bus ride to the airport for only 6 Euros on our final day of departure.

Our trip was a success. Thank you for all your wonderful help as usual!

I have wondered how we would travel without help from Linda Popp at Travel To Go.  She has helped us get wonderful deals for a Nile Cruise, Christmas Market River Cruise, tour to Scotland, and good airfares.  She has been a wonderful resource and easy to work with when looking for a good travel location.  Each year we more than pay for membership with our savings.     Patricia R. Escondido, CA

As this was my first time using Travel To Go / Sky Travel, I was a bit apprehensive as what they could do for me.  As I already had researched online for the best price quotes, I wanted to compare costs.  I talked to Carolyn at Travel To Go, and she was able to find lower prices for airfare, car rental and hotel accomodations.  I was impressed with her courteous and quick service and look forward to using them again for future travel.  I would recommend this business to a friend.   Roger H. Great Falls, MT

Bill Tucker of travel to go seems to be a very good rep. he went out of his way to contact me and my fiancee concerning several trips in Az. I have yet to book a vacation through vacations to go so we will wait and see what kind of comments I will be posting regarding the company but, if they are as good as Bill than I will be writing a positive feed back. To be continued in the near future!!

Lance S. Fayetteville, AR

My wife and I have been a member for about one year now and we have taken three trips so far. We have been very pleased with the accommodations and the price we paid. We also got some recommendations from Steve and Shawn for restaurants and activities for the areas we were visiting. We will be booking a cruise within the next year and I feel confident that they will get me a great price and great accommodations. They are very easy and pleasant to work with and I love their “Hot Weeks” deals. We just booked a trip to Breckenridge CO from the Hot Weeks and will be getting a great room for $299 for 7 nights. This condo with a full kitchen could cost that much per night, but I got the week for $299, and that includes tax and fees that hotels and condos always charge!  We love to travel and these prices allow us to stay in very nice places and do much more traveling because of the money we are saving on these trips. We are very happy with our membership and the service we receive when we call in to talk about upcoming trips. I would recommend Travel-To-Go to a friend.

I have had the pleasure of working with the Travel To Go staff for about two years. I am very impressed at the professionalism of all team members, all the way up to the President! Travel To Go has been incredible at finding affordable and dream vacations for our members, as well as my family. Jeanette Bunn is absolutely wonderful to work with and is so compassionate about this company. Kathy Hirt is someone I often work closely with and is a huge help… I know Kathy can make it happen! Steve Olinger is amazing at finding condos in high demand areas, and is one of the nicest and most helpful agents I have ever worked with. Tommy Middaugh, Donna Hisel, Aramis Cherrington….they are all great! Travel To Go lives up to the expectation of providing 5-star service and I would highly recommend this product!   A. R. Branson, MO

I have the occasion to work with several team members of the Travel To Go staff and all have ALWAYS treated me with the utmost courtesy and respect. In fact I would have to say that they always go out of their way to help me with whatever it is that I am calling in regards to customer service or with travel arrangements. I always end our conversations with a smile on my face and a little fuzzy feeling in my head…and as far as I’m concerned don’t’ ever change.   Christina G. Branson, MO

My husband and I have been members of VIP Travel for about 4 1/2 years.  I am a certified cruise addict.  I have had the pleasure of dealing with Linda Popp.  She makes me feel like I’m her only client;   She pays attention to me and my needs.  I sometimes feel like I call Linda too much, because if I don’t have atleast 2 cruises in the works I get jittery.  She is great, can’t say enough about her and my VIP discounts….so I’m able to travel more….YIPEE….leaving for my RCCL Scandinavia / Russia cruise in a month and Linda helped so much with all the details.  Just booked RCCL Oasis for Dec…….watch out Linda I’m needing to book some more for 2012.   Randy B. First of all TRAVEL TO GO does not need any reviews and yo know why? Because it speaks for its self. They are the best because of one thing they have that other travel companies do not have! and that is There Employee’s, They are not just people that work there, they are the company . I have been with them for over ten years, and when i say that these people are the company, that is what i mean. the first time i called them in less than two min. this person had really listen to what kind of package i wanted and before i knew it he was getting a profile of the things that my family and i wanted out of a vacation and not only that! he dis it in our price range that did not hurt our budget. It took me and him over an hour to come up with the right deal. Let me tell you something, other travel services would have not took their time to make it happened for the customer. these people are real and not just workers. Because of them is when i found out that who told you that you had to be rich to vacation like the rich. For the last ten year every time i call its like the first time i called, it never changes. The best part also is that they call you when you get there to make sure that everything is just the way they said it would be and that we were happy with it. Steve,Donna Thank you guys and please don’t ever change one thing about your company because your company has the only thing that others don’t, that is that you all have that old time personal approach which is that , YOU PERSONALY STAND BEHIND YOUR WORD. AND YOU ARE A REAL VOICE. Tommy, thank you for being the one to let me know by the first time that i called and you as one of the owners happened to answer the phone and gave my family and me our first real “Rich style” vacation within our budget. TRAVEL TO GO IS REAL AND IT SPEAKS FOR IT SELF. TRY THEM NEXT TIME YOU WANT A VACTION THE WAY YOU WANT IT AND THEN TELL ME IF THEY ARE NOT THE REVIEW. THEY ARE REAL thanks MY FREINDS from TRAVEL TO GO.

We have been exchanging our time share through Travel to Go for over 5 years and have some awesome vacations. We worked with Donna Hisel the first few years and our experience was amazing. Someone else (who shall remain nameless) took over that particular job and the exchange process became more different. We still had great vacations but the planning phase became a little more difficult. So to my surprise last year when I called to exchange 2 weeks, Donna returned my call and was her ever so helpful self. I travel a lot for work and use on-line booking tools so am familiar with booking travel and getting what I need, not always what I want. I just wanted to say that it is an absolute pleasure to have someone like Donna to work with when planning our vacations. I feel like she really cares and goes out of her way for us. I wish she were available to help me with booking my work travel!   carol m. Redondo Beach, CA

I wanted to provide recognition to Linda Popp for outstanding customer service and follow-thru.  Linda helped me book a trip to the Cayman Island for 15 women who are extremely fussy and at time difficult to deal with:)

Kudos to Linda for a job well done.

I wanted to go to Las Vegas so I called Michael and he booked me at Polo Towers and it was fabulous. I have been a timeshare owner for 20+ years and never got service like this. Thanks Micheal and I will be calling again real soon

We joined Travel To Go in March 2010.  Since then we have utilized Travel To Go twice to save $1000, once for airline tickets to Athens, Greece and a second time for a family vacation at an excellent resort in Branson, MO area.  Mike Foxall was our travel consultant and he helped find a variety of vacation venues all at prices tremendously lower than if I had used AAA, Expedia, Orbitz and other sites.  I use to spend hours searching for low prices and now I only spend minutes thanks to Travel To Go and a quick call to Mike.  My wife and I are very happy to know that we have Travel To Go for life and look forward to taking cruises and more trips before and after retirement.   Johnny S. I first met Jeanette Bunn at an industry related conference in 1998 and have been a vendor with TTG ever since. I strongly recommend TTG and their services!   Michael L. Las Vegas, NV

We have been members for nearly a year and are glad we joined. William has helped us find 4 resorts so far. He made it so easy for me. The resorts were clean, well appointed, friendly, and presented accurately. William knows what we are looking for and calls us with ideas. Thanks to Travel To Go and to William.

While our relationship w/ Travel To GO got off to a shaky start due to disappointment in the “free” incentives, we LOVE the job Betsey Whitman does in booking cruises for us. She is thorough, timely, and a HUGE help! We have booked 8 or 9 cruises w/ Betsey due to the excellent job she does. Her friendliness on the phone is also a plus. Great customer service!

I love travel to go!  I use this method of traveling quite frequently.  The accomodations are great.  The prices Fantastic, especially for those of us who can travel at a moments notice.

I had a timeshare and I could not get into the resort that I owned even with ownership.  With Travel To Go not only was I able to get into my home resort, I got a unit that was better than what I owned.

Since becoming a member of Travel To Go I vacation quite often.  My friends say, “You are going on vacation again”?  Yes I am because Travel To Go makes it possible for me to afford multiple vacations every year!

Thank you Travel to Go!   Tammie B. Palmdale, CA

We have been TTG members for about a year and a half now and have found every agent to be helpful in helping us accomplish our rather unique travel needs.  We are more into independent travel than we are into cruises or tours.  Bianca, who specializes in helping with international travel has been SUPER!  She helped us with a trip to Europe last year and this year with a tour to South Africa.  Bianca is very helpful and answers questions and requests in a very timely fashion.   Bob S. As new members this is the 1st time booking a trip and it has been a wonderful experience.  We wanted to upgrade our reservation so I went to the contact site and emailed the request, it said we would be hearing back with in 24 hours, to my surprise we received a call back within 3 hours, not from just anyone but the agent we booked our original trip.  Moy Villasenor was very willing to help us and explained that there of course was a bit higher cost because we changed the type of room we were staying in but that it wasn’t a problem.  Not even an 10 minutes later my husband had more questions about our trip, we again called and were connected with Moy.  There were no delays and questions were answered the best that they could be.  My husband and I agree that if our trip goes as well as our reservations did we are very pleased with becoming a member of 1st Choice Destinations.  We plan to let everyone know how it all goes.  Thanks Moy for all of your help it was a pleasure dealing with you.

We were not able to get the place we normally  stay at so our timeshare suggested to contact Travel To Go. Ms. Betsy Whitman was my agent for booking my July 2011 cruise on RC’s Allure of the Seas. She was a tremendous helpful agent who was very informative, knowledgeable and accommodating. Betsy was also my agent for booking my Sept. 2010 cruise on Norwegian’s Epic, also a great experience. I cannot find a better agent than Betsy. She always returned my calls promptly and answered all of my questions regardless of their importance. In addition, Betsy is a knowledgeable and professional agent that cares about giving out the most accurate information that she can and if there is something that she can’t answer she will seek and find it for you. You can be assured that Betsy wants to please her clients. Everything about the cruise details were managed in an incredible and timely fashion as promised. Her patience with my indecisiveness was immense. Finally, I can’t say enough about Betsy. She has made my dream cruise come true and without a hitch from start to finish. I’m looking forward to planning future vacations with Betsy as I know she will do the right thing by finding us the best vacation at a price that we can afford and enjoy with piece of mind. What else can I say but that I am glad to be a Travel to Go member and to have Betsy Whitman as my personal and professional agent!

Mrs. Donna Hisel was super awesome to help me with my vacation. Even at night I called and she was ready and willing to help me. The situation I was in that evening I called, her voice on the other end of the line was music to my ears. It was great having a live person in the phone and not an automated attendant.

Or trip was a success. Thank you for all your wonderful help as usual!

I have worked with an admin assistant named Donna. She is better at finding good deals than a magician pulling rabbits from his hat. Please consider renaming her “allstate” because as a client we always feel that we are “in good hands.”

Our thanks and appreciation go out to Carolyn Price from Travel To Go for her expertise in helping us with our travel arrangements for our August trip to Alberta, flying in to Edmonton, driving through the Icefields Parkway to Calgary and flying home from there. The flight arrangements, hotels and rental car all worked out great and as often as I called Carolyn, she was always patient and pleasant to work with.

Don’t miss the statue of Ponce de Leon in the center of the Plaza de San Jose, and stop in at the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña or the San Juan Museum of Art and History for some culture. El Yunque, Puerto Rico

El Yunque is a subtropical rainforest in northeastern Puerto Rico. The only tropical rainforest under the U.S. flag, El Yunque is a mere 28,000 acres (small by national forest standards), but it is steeped in island lore, natural diversity, and tropical splendor. El Yunque means “The Anvil,” and it is so called for its distinctive flat peak. The forest is part of Puerto Rican mythology: The Taíno Indians believed the rainforest was home to a benevolent god named Yuquiyu. Besides being unique to the U.S. Forest Service, El Yunque boasts an amazing diversity of flora, including 150 native fern species and 240 tree species (23 of which are found only in the forest) thrive in El Yunque, thanks to its perfect climate and consistent rainfall. In addition, the forest is home to many small animals that are found nowhere else on Earth. The coquí tree frog, Puerto Rican Parrot, and pygmy anole are among its rare and reclusive residents.
